DUBAI, 3rd December, 2013 (WAM)--The Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, today afternoon received at Zabeal Palace, HRH Prince Khalid Al Faisal, Governor of Makkah region and Chairman of the Arab Thought Foundation.
During the meeting, Sheikh Mohammed and Prince Khalid exchanged views on a number of cultural, literary and economic issues, as well as the role of the Arab Thought Foundation in spreading the Arabic language, and importance of bringing together the intellectuals, historians and media persons to highlight the role of Arab world at international arena, especially in the literary and cultural areas. Prince Khalid greeted the U.A.E. government and people on the 42nd national day and the winning to host expo 2020 in Dubai, citing the role of Sheikh Mohammed at the international arena. He commended the U.A.E. achievements in general and Dubai in particular over the last three decades, citing that Dubai is a model of development and success story, thanks to the vision of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid. The meeting was attended by H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of Dubai Civil Aviation Authority and Chairman of Emirates Group H.H. Sheikh Majed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of Dubai Culture and Arts Authority, Mohammed Ibrahim Al Shaibani, Director General of the Dubai Ruler's Court, Lt. General Dahi Khalfan Tamim, Deputy Chairman of Police and Public Security in Dubai, Lt. General Musbeh Rashid Al Fattan , Director of office of the Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, a number of Sheikhs, ministers and senior officials. Sheikh Mohammed hosted a launch banquet in honour of the guest and audience.
