Abu Dhabi, May 13th, 2012 (WAM) -- Vice President and Prime Minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum today honoured winners of the Sheikh Khalifa Government Excellence Programme (SKGEP) in a ceremony at the Emirates Palace here in Abu Dhabi.

The event organized by the Ministry of Cabinet Affairs was attended by H. H. Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, H.H. Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman, H.H. Sheikh Rashid bin Saud bin Rashid Al Mu'alla, Crown Prince of Umm al-Qaiwain and H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Crown Prince of Ras al-Khaimah.

Also present were Mohammed Ahmed Al-Murr, Speaker of Federal National Council, H.H. Sheikh Tahnoun bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Ruler`s Representative in the Eastern Region, H.H. Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, National Security Advisor, H.H. Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, H.H. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs, H.H. Sheikh Hamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chief of Abu Dhabi Crown Prince's Court, H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Foreign Minister, Ahmed Juma Al Za'abi, Deputy Minister for Presidential Affairs a number of sheikhs, ministers and senior state officials.

The ceremony, held under the patronage of Shaikh Mohammad honoured outstanding performances of individuals and teams from federal organisations and bodies.

He honored a number of national figures who have contributed in laying the foundation of the federation and provided great services to the UAE and its people. He presented the 'Mohammed bin Rashid Scarf' to H.H. Sheikh Tahnoon bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, Ruler's Representative in the Eastern Region and the late Hamouda bin Ali bin Ghanim Al Dhaheri, that was received by his son Mohammed, and to late Ahmad bin Sultan bin Sulayem Al Falasi, that was received by his son Sultan.

He also presented 'Mohammed bin Rashid Scarf' to the late Saif Saeed Ghobash Al Marri, which was received by his son Omar Saif Ghobash, the current UAE Ambassador to Russia.
