RIYADH, 18 September 2007 -- Etihad Etisalat (Mobily) yesterday launched a high-value offer targeting new 7ala prepaid subscribers.
The company said in a statement that customers subscribing to Mobily 7ala packages will get a SR50 bonus when they sign up, SR25 after they activate the line and another SR25 bonus 30 days later. 7ala itself costs SR75 for new signups and comes with SR75 worth of credit. The promotion is valid until Oct. 31, 2007.
After activating the new 7ala prepaid package number, subscribers receive an SMS text message notifying that SR100 has been credited to their accounts. A similar SMS text message is sent to customers 30 days later informing them of the additional SR25 worth of credit.
The statement said people signing up for prepaid mobile phone service from Mobily or those porting in to Mobily's network from other operators can benefit from this high-value promotion, too.
Porting in means customers can move from one mobile network to the other without changing their numbers using Raqme.
Mobile number portability allows subscribers to move from one cellular operator to the other without changing their number, or the area code of the number.
Customers wishing to benefit from Mobily's advanced services and competitive offers need only visit any of the company's 110 outlets for details.
Once a final settlement bill is issued, customers can pay that bill at Mobily's outlets.
Numbers are ported with two to six days after customers pay their last bill to the other operator. Customers wishing to port to Mobily's network, meanwhile, can still pay that last bill at any authorized bank in the Kingdom.
Both postpaid and prepaid customers can move from the networks of other operators to Mobily free of charge, without having to visit the other operator's offices.
The statement further said that customers moving to Mobily's network can benefit from high-value postpaid packages -- Khatty and Khatty Plus -- both of which have flat rate calling charges to all national destinations, whether that be to other Mobily customers, fixed lines, or subscribers to other mobile networks.
Customers wishing to switch to Mobily prepaid packages can choose from two high-value packages -- one of which includes a bundle of services tailored to youth's usage and the second providing a competitive national calling rate.
Customers who move will also have access to Mobily's innovative products and services, among them mobile broadband Internet based on the latest 3.5 technology available in three affordable bundles -- the unlimited bundle, Ranan, the ring back tone service, and many other exclusive features.
Furthermore, customers can call using the latest 2.5G technology providing crisp and clear sound, and only pay for the actual time of the call as Mobily charges per second.
Other value-added services bundled free of charge to all Mobily customers include missed call notification, available to both postpaid and prepaid customers.
