Dubai, Oct 17th, 2011 (WAM) -- Ministry of Education and HBMeU have discussed ways to implement the Memorandum of Understanding signed by two parties, cooperation in various fields of common interest, and the laying of foundation for the development of the Ministry's training plan.
Hamdan Bin Mohammed e-University (HBMeU), recently hosted a meeting with Fawzia Hassan Bin Gharib, Assistant Undersecretary of Educational Operations; Nabila Ali Mirza, HR Director; and Jamilah Ahmed Al Muhairi, Director of Government School Control, from the UAE Ministry of Education at its new building in Dubai Academic City. The visit reflects the commitment of both parties to create an environment that encourages creativity and innovation in equipping the young generation with high academic qualifications, enabling them to sustain the march towards excellence and success in the development initiatives of the UAE. The meeting focused on training programs shared between HBMeU and the Ministry of Education as the two parties eagerly pursue initiatives to enhance the development of human capital and to strengthen channels for the transfer of knowledge and practical experience. The Ministrys delegation also learned about the services and programs of e-TQM Institute, a leading institute specializing in quality management and e-learning. The Institute operates under the umbrella of the University and is the main organizer of two annual awards sponsored by two global leaders in quality and leadership, i.e. "Feigenbaum Leadership Excellence Award" and "Kano Medal: Excellence Catalyst", which both aim to raise awareness about the importance of quality and excellence, while honoring and rewarding distinguished individuals. The meeting discussed initiatives for training a new breed of professionals and the implementation of the second phase of the distribution of the certificate of leadership and excellence in education for members of the school administration and the certificate of excellence in education for the teaching staff. The visit concluded with a field tour of the academic facilities of the University. Dr. Mansour Al Awar, Chancellor of HBMeU, expressed his pleasure with the visit of the Ministry of Education's delegation to discuss steps to develop the educational system and academic programs that support the creation of an ideal academic environment that encourages the youth to be innovative and excel in various scientific and practical fields. "We will continue to work with the Ministry of Education to strengthen our long-term partnership and to achieve our goals to improve education in accordance with best international practices and to position the UAE as a center of scientific and academic excellence," Dr. Al Awar said. Fawzia Hassan Bin Gharib said: "We are pleased to communicate with Hamdan Bin Mohammed e-University to find effective ways that will improve the quality of education and establish a culture of innovation among the youth, who will continue our march towards excellence in the future.
