Doha - The newest addition to the roster of luxury hotels in the country, the Millennium Hotel Doha, promises to set new benchmarks for the Arabian hospitality industry.
The management announced yesterday the soft opening of the Millennium Hotel Doha, the first hotel operated by Millennium Hotels in Qatar and the sixth in the Middle East.
Manfred P Simons, Millennium Hotels and Resorts Vice President, Operations and Development for Middle East and North Africa, told a news conference yesterday that the new hotel has been designed to cater to international business and leisure travellers.
He said that the hotel, which opened its doors, last month, received positive feedback from its first guests and that it will be up to the challenge in the five star luxury hotels market.
The new hotel aims to set an unparalleled standard of new services in the Middle East, he said. He added that Millennium Hotels, a member of the Singapore-based Hong Leong Group, has ambitious expansion plans in the region and targeting to expand its brand to 35 hotels throughout the Middle East in the next four years.
Millennium Hotel Doha, owned by Al Sraiya Holding Group, is located in Al Sadd area adjacent to a new shopping mall. It offers a wide range of services and facilities with its brand new food and beverages venues, advanced high tech business center, roof top swimming pool, spa and state-of-the-art gym.
The luxury five star property features 226 guest rooms over seven floors including 24 suites. All rooms are equipped with Internet connectivity, telephone, coffee maker, cable/Satellite TV, work desk, radio and clock alarm as well as in-room safe.
The hotel comprises three outlets and exclusive Club lounge, including Cosmo which offers international cuisine buffet and live cooking station, the Atrium Caf with its light menu and freshly brewed coffee, the Sky view (Roof Top) Pool, a rooftop restaurant and the Executive Club lounge which offers a selection of complimentary all day canaps and pastries.
