Mashreq Qatar, in partnership with Visa, has launched a supplementary ATM/debit card scheme.
Individual customers can now open an account and get up to six free supplementary ATM/debit cards issued for their immediate family members. Cardholders can use the cards to withdraw cash from their accounts using any ATM in Qatar, or withdraw cash with zero withdrawal fees from any of the 1mn ATMs across the world displaying the Visa logo.
Customers have the option to assign daily and monthly withdrawal limits on their supplementary cards. Mashreq Gold customers will get additional benefits including free access to Al Maha services at Qatar's Hamad International Airport and Marhaba services at Dubai International Airport, twice a year.
"We want to provide the highest levels of convenience for our customers," said Niranjan Mendonca, head of retail banking, Mashreq Qatar.
"Some customers may give this card to their children to use for day to day expenses in Qatar. Other customers can give the card to their parents in their home country so they can be provided with funds immediately for no fee, without having to wait in line for a money transfer which will take three days to reach and pay remittance charges."
