MUSCAT -- As part of the 40th National Day celebrations and the continuous efforts of the government aimed at developing and updating transport services, the Transport and Communications Ministry will open tomorrow the Masbat road project, in addition to a number of road connections in the Wilayats of Bidbid and Samayil.

The ceremony will be presided over by Nasser bin Khamis al Jashmi, Under-Secretary at the Ministry of Oil and Gas.

The 45-km road includes road connections that serve the villages of Al Hanjoriah, Masbat, Jardomanah, Al Lahn, Al Mlaiha and Al Swaiqma in the Wilayat of BidBid. The road is also connected to Al Ownyah and road connection of Wadi Sijani village in the Wilayat of Samayil.

The vital project consists of two lanes with a width of seven metres and concrete shoulders at a width of 0.5 metre for each side. Also, the road is provided with water drainage services to ensure the flow of wadis.
The road is expected to make mobility among the villages easy for citizens and residents.
