DARAA,(SANA) - The normal life returned to Daraa on Sunday, and its people returned to their work while the markets, the governmental institutions and the schools returned to their usual activities in the first day of the week.

In a statement to SANA reporters, a number of the citizens in Daraa indicated that all the basic needs and the foodstuffs are available after the Army arrested the terrorist armed groups in the province.

Citizen Ali al-Masalmeh said that the movement was normal and all types of materials are available in the markets which indicates that the people returned to the normal life with more security.

For his part, citizen Bassam Mohammad considered that the coming days will witness a considerable activity for compensating the losses due to the latest events witnessed by the province which stopped trade movement.

He pointed out that the people are aware of the complete truth regarding what was happening as they have become more ready to contribute to restoring the normal life to their city.

Daraa Governor, Khalid al-Hanous, said that the schools and the governmental institutions returned to their work in a normal way, stressing that all the provisions and the basic services such electricity, communications and water are available.

He added that the coming days will witness a huge activity to stress that the institutions retuned to play their role, in addition to opening new prospects of in-depth dialogue with all the bodies concerned to implement future plans.

He pointed out that popular meetings will be held with the participation of various activities in the province to reassure the citizens, and to address all of their needs and demands, indicating that more than one day have been assigned for this purpose this week.

In the same context, a media mission of Arab and local TV Channels came to the province and conducted dialogues with the citizens, and broadcast live photos from Daraa such as the Omari Mosque and the main streets and squares, in addition to the daily life in these areas.
