Manpower Inc, a leading employment services provider with 4,500 operations in 80 countries and territories throughout the world, has successfully launched its Manpower Professional executive service in Bahrain. This new office extends Manpower Professional's regional network in the GCC region to include Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Qatar and now Bahrain.

US-headquartered Manpower Inc., made its entry into the Middle East market in December 2007 through the acquisition of Clarendon Parker Middle East, the GCC's largest management recruitment and staffing solutions provider, and has already added two offices to its Middle East portfolio in line with the company's ambitious expansion plans. Manpower Professional Bahrain will focus on providing innovative recruitment solutions for mid to senior level managerial, professional and technical roles in the Kingdom.

Its market focus will include banking, finance and insurance, IT and telecommunications, and engineering.

"Bahrain impressed us as a market committed to growth by opening its labour market practices to increase the flexibility and agility to provide talent to businesses in the Kingdom. This makes Bahrain an attractive market for Manpower Professional, and we are enthusiastic about serving our clients," said Varina Nissen, Managing Director, Manpower Middle East.

The Manama-based team is led by Wassim Kabbani, a British national with ten years recruitment experience in Europe and the Middle East. Kabbani has worked with the Manpower group of companies for eight years and brings strong leadership and project management skills to his new role.

Shaikh Mohammed bin Essa Al Khalifa, Chief Executive of the EDB said, "The Economic Development Board is pleased to have Manpower Professional in Bahrain. With an eye on developing an employment pool that meets the needs of the private sector, we welcome one of the leading employment service providers to identify the skills and qualifications required to place Bahrainis and expatriates in the growing job market in the Kingdom."

"Key to maintaining economic momentum is having a capable workforce and potential for sustained professional development. The arrival of Manpower Professional Bahrain is testament to the EDB's commitment to enhance employment opportunities in the Kingdom, with an emphasis on making Bahrainis the employee of choice."

Kabbani added: "Bahrain has a real demand for qualified, experienced professionals and managers. Through our existing relationships in the region and with the assistance of organisations such as the Bahrain EDB, Manpower Professional intends to bring its global service standards to clients and candidates in the Kingdom."
