MUSCAT -- The German University of Technology in Oman (GUtech) will offer five management short-courses in September and October.

Engineers and management experts will hold the two- or three-day courses at the GUtech campus in Al Athaiba. The courses will provide basics for professionals and executives from services, production, quality management and planning as well as improvement process leaders.

"Following the success of our previous short courses and based on the increasing market demand for management courses, GUtech will organise courses in Project Management, Six Sigma, Process Management, Value Stream Mapping and Quality Management," said Prof Burkhard Rauhut, Rector of GUtech.

All management trainers are experienced in their field. For many years they have been working as consultants for several industry sectors -- mainly for the automotive machine tools and telecommunications industry and have trained staff for international companies such as BMW group, Audi, VW and Siemens.

The courses are scheduled as follows: Project Management Course on September 18 and 19, Six Sigma Course from September 25 to 27, Process Management Course on October 16 and 17, Value Stream Mapping on October 18 and 19, and Quality Management Course on October 24 and 25.
