Under the patronage of Sheikh Abdullah bin Salim bin Amer Al Rowas, minister of regional municipalities, environment and water resources, MAN Nutzfahrzeuge and Arabian Engineering Services LLC, a part of the Saud Bahwan Group celebrated 25 years of MAN operations in Oman. The Silver Jubilee function held at Al Bustan Palace Hotel was attended by chairman of MAN Nutzfahrzeuge, Anton Weinmann, a team of senior officials from MAN-Germany and a large number of distinguished guests.
On the occasion, Anton Weinmann presented the Award of Excellence to Saud Bahwan Group. This award is in recognition of outstanding efforts in after sales service and customer care. Mohammed Saud Bahwan, president Saud Bahwan Group accepted the award.
Bestowing the award Weinmann lauded the Group's multi-prong efforts in ensuring customer satisfaction.
"The Saud Bahwan Group has proved that constant growth does not take one further away from the customer, but brings one closer to him. In this way, the Group has built up an outstanding position in Oman and acquired people's trust trust in quality and dependability. And played an extremely impressive role behind the fact that MAN has for many years been market leader in a country in which all well-known commercial vehicle manufacturers are represented and in which customers have the most exacting demands in terms of quality and reliability," said Weinmann.
"We are quite proud to be associated with a customer-oriented company like Saud Bahwan Group," he added.
Elaborating on MAN's future plans in the region, Weinmann said, "MAN will support Saud Bahwan Group even better in the future through a regional bureau." He went on to add that " MAN's sister company, MAN Ferrostaal is involved in the construction of a methanol plant in Sohar that accounts for a total investment of $ 500 million. This makes MAN the largest single German investor in the entire Middle East."
Earlier in the course of the day, Weinmann visited the AES Service and Parts Centre at Ghala. He said he was really impressed by the state-of-the-art facilities there. This massive facility integrates four workshops with 55 service bays spread over 33,000 square metres. Providing support to the workshops is a well-stocked spare parts centre which stocks more than 30,000 line items, handling over 400 issues per day. Besides the main warehouse and spare parts centre at Ghala, spare parts are also made available through 14 branches spread all over the country.
Such colossal investments made by Saud Bahwan Group have helped MAN earn a dominant presence in fields like construction and transportation in Oman. MAN trucks are chosen by government departments and private companies for their ruggedness and reliability. MAN trucks have been the first choice of PDO and many private sector companies.
Speaking on the occasion, a spokesperson for AES said, "We are thankful to MAN for consistently offering high quality products incorporating the latest technology with sincerity and dedication that makes us in AES truly proud to be your partners. Many thanks also for the high-level seven-member team with us today.
"Your presence demonstrates your strong commitment to our customers in Oman."
He went on to add that "the valued assistance and understanding of customers in Oman have enabled AES to achieve market leadership for the last 25 years. "On this occasion, we assure you that MAN and AES will together do our best to serve you with high quality products supported by the best possible service support," he concluded.
AES has always been keen on ensuring the maximum satisfaction of its customers.
