MUSCAT -- The Malabar Group of Companies opened its second showroom in Oman at Lulu Hypermarket, Bausher. Dr P Muhammed Ali, MD and Vice-Chairman of Galfar Engineering and Contracting SAOG, formally inaugurated the showroom, which is the fortieth in their branches, at the Lulu Hypermarket in the presence of M P Ahammed, Malabar Gold Chairman, Co-Chairman, Shamlal Ahmed, Managing Director, International Operations, Directors and other dignitaries.

Malabar Gold is respected internationally as a perfect jeweller, where perfect design, perfect service and perfect price, go hand in hand. M P Ahammed, chairman of Malabar group said, Oman and the people here gave a great emphasis on quality and service offered which perfectly blends with the traditions and history of Malabar Gold while reiterating the social commitment. "We are committed to the society and our credo is based upon transparent business and trustworthiness. No wonder a company that started way back in 1993 with a small outlet in Kozhikode could reach greater heights and grew into a business empire having diversified business interests", Ahammed said.

Embarked upon an ambitious growth plan with seven outlets and a manufacturing unit and a mammoth investment of $25m in Oman, the group aims to have thirty showrooms in the region. It also aims to be the most sought-after brand in the world by the end of 2015, while catering to the regional employment sectors. "A wide plethora of employment opportunities will be opened to the Omani youngsters as well as expatriates", Shamlal Ahammed M P, Managing Director, International Operations, said, adding "We respect the laws of the land and we are bound to abide by the rules and regulations of the authorities and all MG outlets will offer jobs to as much number of Omani youngsters as stipulated by the ministry".

Malabar Gold offers a range of investment opportunities to the NRI community while life-long service and exchangeability in India are other sides of their business. Malabar Gold's third showroom in Oman will be opened in Salalah in the coming months and the second showroom in Saudi Arabia will be opened to customers in Riyadh, and one showroom is in the pipeline in Qatar too, before the end of this year. Their 41st showroom is scheduled to open in Alappuzha, Kerala tomorrow.
