Lloyd Maddock takes charge as CEO of Ahlibank today. Maddock joins Ahlibank from Ahli United Bank (AUB), Bahrain - which he joined in February 2012 as deputy group CEO of corporate banking.
Prior to joining the AUB Group, Maddock was the CEO of HSBC, Kuwait and Pakistan.
Maddock is a career banker with over 23 years of experience, both in the GCC and internationally. An engineering graduate from the University of Exeter, UK, Maddock attended a number of management development programmes in the field of banking, including the senior strategic management programme at Duke University.
Ahlibank's new CEO started his career with Midland Montagu, and following its acquisition by HSBC, gained experience in corporate and consumer banking, operations, trade services and custodial services with HSBC in India, Hong Kong, Canada, and Saudi Arabia.
