Ministerial delegations from 25 countries gathered in Libya on Saturday (October 10th) for the 13th Standing Commission on Afro-Arab Co-operation. Afro-Arab co-operation has gone beyond the level of politics to now encompass the economic, social and cultural spheres, said Arab League chief Amr Moussa.

Algerian Secretary of State for Arab and African Affairs Abdelkader Messahel, who led the commission last year, also told the forum that there must be greater contact between Arab and African states.
