Doha: LG announced its new Android phone, the GW620, a few weeks ago. The phone is slim to hold in the hand, with a full slide out QWERTY keyboard. A 5MP camera sits on the back (with single LED flash), it has a 3-inch screen and a slide out keyboard. It's the first Android phone to be this way.
Button wise -- when the phone has the keyboard folded away -- things are pretty limited on the front, with a menu, back and terminate button the only options to play with.Another nice touch is the presence of Facebook and Twitter baked right into the handset -- send messages from your social networks right from the phone, something that's becoming increasingly popular on today's handsets especially those based on Android
This Smartphone supports Wi-Fi. technology, which means the handset can connect to a hotspot or WLAN which is nearby allowing the user to gain Internet connectivity without the use of cables and wires. It's built in GPRS technology and EDGE provides high speed transfer rates for the user to enjoy when transferring data files between the GW620 and other devices, such as another mobile phone, computer, printer or much more. To gain a connection between the GW620 and another device the user can use either a micro USB cabled connection or a Bluetooth. Wireless connection between devices depending on the other devices connectivity options available. The user can enjoy fast speed Internet connectivity thanks to this Smartphone's built in 3G HSDPA technology. The GW620 works over a quad band GSM networks and a 3G HSDPA 2100 network depending on the users network connectivity needs. It can hold a large amount of external memory which is MicroSD type memory and the Smartphone can hold up to sixteen gigabytes externally. A built in GPS navigation feature which supports A GPS allows the user to find new locations and destinations with help from the GPS feature.
