Manah -- A lecture entitled "Omani Immigrations to East Africa" was held at Sultan Qaboos College for Teaching Arabic to Non-native Speakers in the Wilayat of Manah, Governorate of the Al Dakhiliyah yesterday.
The lecture was presented Dr Mohammed bin Nasser al Mahrouqi, Assistant Professor at Nizwa University's College of Arts and Science.
He touched at the beginning of his lecture on the borders of the Omani Empire at that time, referring to the beginnings and reasons for Omani immigration to East Africa, which resulted in the development of those immigrations, which included individual trade and also covered political sway.
