The largest company manufacturing aloe vera gel will be inaugurated in Saveh, Markazi province, on June 17, which marks the anniversary of the establishment of Construction Jihad.
Announcing this, Alireza Arbab, an expert from the city's Agricultural Jihad Department , he said the company has been set up in Aveh Greenhouse Town of Saveh with the investment of the private sector in the field of aloe vera cultivation, ISNA reported.
Referring to the importance of aloe vera cultivation, he said the plant is used in various industries, including food, beverage, cosmetic and medicinal production.
He noted that 133 hectares of lands will go under aloe vera cultivation and 600 tons of gel will be produced within a year.
Arbab went on to say that only aloe vera gel will be produced in the first phase of the project, stressing that the second phase is expected to put food, beverage, cosmetic and hygienic products on the company's agenda.
"The implementation of the project will cost 29 billion rials and 19,000 tons of aloe vera leaves should be purchased for launching the plant," he said.
