'Our way of saying thank you'
The Landmark Group, the region's leading retail and hospitality conglomerate, today unveiled 'Shukran' - the trail blazing customer rewards initiative program to members.
Previously known as the Centrepoint Privilege Club, Shukran the region's leading loyalty program promoted by the retail business group; its presence spanning 7 countries, over 800 outlets and covering over 1.5 million members will rollout in a phased manner across the GCC, said Saibal Basu, Chief Operation Officer of Landmark Group in Kuwait
The program, he said, will encompass the existing member-base of the Centrepoint Privilege Club, and add new members as it is launched; in the fashion, lifestyle, food, hospitality and leisure space.
The program is being launched with exciting new brands across retail and hospitality such as Max, Shoexpress, New Look, Kurt Geiger, Casa Havana, Centrepoint Café and Jungle Food Court besides the pre-existing Centrepoint, Juniors, Shoe Mart, Splash, Lifestyle, Home Centre, Paprika & Bossini, he said.
He added, "Our vision is to take these brands across all regions where our footprint is being established."
With Shukran, members can earn up to 12.5 points for each Kuwaiti dinar they spend. The most exciting part of the program for members is that they can earn points even during sales and promotions. These points can be redeemed through reward certificates sent to members every quarter, he added.
Basu added: "Landmark Group has always maintained a proactive approach towards retaining customers and we consider our loyal customers as our most significant shopper-base. On account of being ambassadors who graciously endorse our products and brands, they share a relationship with the Group.
"Shukran is 'Our way of saying thank you to loyal customers' and with the number of participating outlets in the program, there's enough reason for them to shop their heart out," he stressed.
The first phase of the re-launch today includes the programmed roll-out simultaneously in Kuwait, Oman and Qatar, to be followed by other countries in the coming months. The loyalty program will also be introduced for the first time in Jordan shortly, he said.
Epitomizing the program name, the tagline aptly propositions members to 'Shop, Dine, Play or Simply indulge. And find over a million ways to reward yourself'.
Founded in 1973 in Bahrain, he said, the Landmark Group has successfully grown into one of the largest and most successful retail organizations in the Middle East and India.
An international, diversified retail conglomerate that encourages entrepreneurship to consistently deliver exceptional value, the Group operates over 900 stores in the Middle East, India, Egypt, Turkey, Yemen and Pakistan (franchise operation).
