BEIRUT (Zawya Dow Jones)--Kuwaiti-Jordanian Holding Co. has filed tender applications for two build-operate-transfer projects in Jordan worth a total of $1.2 billion, the Kuwait-based al Rai al Aam daily reported Tuesday.
Reem Badran, chairman of KJHC, said that the first project is in the water sector and worth $800 million.
The second project, worth between $300 million and $400 million, is related to an ongoing program to renew and develop Amman's Queen Alia International Airport. Badran did not give further details.
Last year, KJHC signed a memorandum of understanding with the Aqaba Development Co. to prepare studies and plans for an integrated infrastructure project in Aqaba that would include desalination, waste water treatment, and gas distribution and treatment.
Established in 2004, KJHC is involved in construction, engineering and contracting activities.
