KUWAIT, April 5 (KUNA) -- Kuwait was plighted Wednesday with fierce thunder rains known as "Sarayat" that will continue until tomorrow.

Meteorologist Hussain Al-Sarraf told Kuwait Radio station that the rain fall was expected because the country is passing through the "Sarayat" phase which is characterized by storms and thunder rain at times.

After intensive accumulation of clouds in today afternoon some streets were overflowed with rain-water that caused traffic jam, but this continued for some time and after swallow up of rain-water by the sewage network.

Earlier days ere marred with unstable weather, blow of heavy winds causing dust with relative rise of temperature during day time.
