Kuwait: Lab technicians to get pay hike

KUWAIT CITY, April 19: The Ministry of Health (MoH) intends to grant a 50 percent increment to lab technicians and is planning to submit the proposal to Cabinet for approval next week, reports Al-Qabas daily.

Meanwhile, Assistant Undersecretary for Medical Services Dr Quais Al-Duwairi denied reports that he played a role in preventing the strike of lab technicians who were to stage a strike on Sunday in front of the headquarters of Kuwait Medical Society, reports Al-Seyassah daily. Reportedly, the technicians called off the strike after the ministry promised to give them a pay raise.
