MANAMA, Jan 29 (KUNA) -- The Kuwaiti-Bahraini committee's meeting to be held soon will yield signing a number of agreements, Kuwaiti Ambassador to Bahrain Sheikh Azzam Mubarak Al-Sabah said here Tuesday.
Al-Sabah told KUNA that Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammad Sabah Al-Salem Al-Sabah will visit Bahrain next Saturday, heading a senior delegation, to sign "important" agreements during the meeting of the committee.
Participants in the meeting will discuss 18 issues that aim to boost cooperation between the two countries and develop integration among the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states, he said.
The agreements to be signed will be in the educational, scientific, cultural, arts, aviation services, tourism, environmental, youth, and sports fields, he pointed out.
The accord on establishing the higher committee of cooperation between Kuwait and Bahrain was supported by the GCC on September 3, 2001.
