KUWAIT, Jan 22 (KUNA) -- Kuwait Airways Board Chairman and Managing Director Sheikh Talal Mubarak Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah said here Monday the corporation has already launched its online reservation service through its website.

Sheikh Talal, speaking at a news conference, said that the ceremony for launching the fresh service capped efforts by three teams in the Kuwaiti corporation.

The first team was interested in booking procedures by an online reservation gate. The second team was concerned about air ticket payment procedures through an electronic payment gate in cooperation with Kuwait Finance House (KFH).

The third team was interested in the online issuance of air tickets, he added.

Kuwait Airway's online reservation service is part of its strategic blueprint to overhaul and improve its services in order to facilitate procedures for its clients, he said.

Talal added that the company would ensure the confidentiality of clients' personal information and data as well as credit cards by means of using sophisticated information protection methods.

According to the new online reservation service, nine travelers can book air tickets at one stroke at anytime, he said, hoping that more services would be provided by the airline in the future.
