Dubai, UAE The GCC Government Organizations Global Competitiveness KPI and Innovation Strategy Development Conference started today at the Burj Al Arab Hotel aiming to provide framework for a strategic measurement and management system supported by a list of strategic key action programs which guides government organizations to focus their resources on accomplishing their objectives and goals and to significantly improve the way they enhance their performance management practices and become globally competitive.
Organized by Datamatix, the 2-day event gathers together business leaders, senior level executives, entrepreneurs and government officials to clarify the mechanics of how to integrate and incorporate KPI fundamentals and innovation in the working environment, thus ensuring a value for public service delivery system. Ali Al Kamali, the Managing Director of Datamatix stressed that, "The importance of KPI and Innovation development as translates the mission and strategy needed by organizations into coming up with a comprehensive set of performance measures." He went on to say that, "The role of KPI in globalization will outline in detail the steps to advance current strategies to meet the changing face of the global business of today and tomorrow."Top notch speakers and panelists gather at this conference to share their knowledge and experience including Dr. Wafi Dawood, Chairman of Dubai Quality Group which presented "DQG Success Story: A case study on achieving excellence by coupling strategic analysis with focused execution."Dr. Dawood discussed various market and competitive trends; strategic options and associated key initiatives as well as DQGs strategic goals and targets along with its vision, "to be an internationally recognized knowledge hub that promotes business excellence and enhances competitiveness of the business community."Mohammed Dulaimi,Director of Research and Innovation ADICOE and Director of Project Management MSc Programme, The British University in Dubai, shares his ideas on "Global Government Organizations' KPI and Innovation Competitiveness Measurement Criteria and Benchmarking Strategies."Osama Ghanim, Managing Partner of Innovabia highlighted a case study regarding "Ebtikarna 2009: The first regional Innovation Index, The Public Sector Index, Saudi Arabia" which focused on defining the role of innovation in public sector where recent developments, barriers and success factors has been explained. The day's session concluded with Dr. Hani Abdulrahman Alamri, Professor of King Abdel Aziz University, KSA which presented, "Drawing strategic Mapping using Balance Scorecard in the government Sector" discussing the concept of the strategic mapping on the bases, to practice measuring performance tools and simultaneously show how can we associated with methodological of the balance scorecard as strategic measure in the government sectors, and also teaches us how can implementation changes that lead to the excellence.
