The 9th International Energy Exhibition opened on Kish Island's International Permanent Fair Ground on Monday.

More than 200 domestic and foreign companies including firms from China, Iraq, Turkey, South Korea, United Arab Emirates and Germany are taking part in the event that is held in a 20,000 square meters area, Fars News Agency reported.

The event is sponsored by the Oil Ministry, Association of Iran's Oil Industry Equipment Manufactures, Association of Manufacturers of Iranian Industrial Equipment and Power Industry Syndicate.

Iran's Productivity Organization, Academic Jihad, Khatam ul-Osia Headquarters, Mapna, Imam Khomeini Petrochemical Complex, Jam Petrochemical Complex and Kermanshah Petrochemical Complex are among participants of the exhibition.

Developing and expanding of technology and techniques, the chain of procurement and production in energy projects, a number of meetings with different themes and specialized visits are also on the agenda.

On the second day of the event, a panel is going to discuss the issue of reforming contracts.

Key members of the panel are managers of legal department of Oil Ministry, head of Parliament's Legal Commission, head of the General Inspection Organization and several other legal experts. The four-day event ends on February 7.
