Amman: His Majesty King Abdullah II on Tuesday visited the Public Security Directorate PSD Command and Control Center and was updated by its Director, Gen. Hussein Majali, on measures taken by the department and other security apparatuses to ensure free and smooth polling in the November 9th parliament elections.

King Abdullah was also briefed on a command and control project as he took a firsthand look at modern technologies and equipment introduced recently at the center to improve the police work and upgrade cooperation among security bodies.

The meeting was attended by Prime Minister Samir Rifai, Interior Minister Nayef Qadi, State Minster for Media Affairs and Communications Ali Al Ayed, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Lt. General Meshaal Zaben, General Intelligence Department Director Lt. General Mohammad Raqqad, Gendarmerie Director General Tawfeeq Tawalbeh, and Civil Defense Directorate Director General Talal Kawfahil.
