King Faisal Foundation (KFF) launched Monday its new website (www.kff.com) in both Arabic and English to showcase its key achievements over 38 years with the "quantifying progress" method which employs numbers, figures and charts to record the progress made to date.

Dima Bashir Al-Azem, KFF media and communication director, told Arab News on Monday: "The new website is designed to reflect the foundation's key achievements over the last 38 years by using a quantifying progress method." He added that it was an interactive website for visitors to explore and participate.

The website comprises a number of Web pages with each covering an independent philanthropic program initiated and supported by the foundation.

The page that precedes all these is about the late King Faisal, whose vision and achievements formed the cornerstone of this philanthropic empire.

According to KFF, the homepage of the new website gives the visitors a general overview about the establishment, goals, pillars and founders of the foundation.

In addition, some charts and graphs are provided to feature select details related to the foundation's contributions to its various philanthropic sectors and educational scholarships, combined with an assortment of photos from the archives.

The prestigious "King Faisal International Prize" comes next to provide a quick overview about the winners, their nationalities, their numbers and other prizes that they have won.

Moreover, visitors to this page get to learn about the yearly cycle of the prize and look at randomly selected photos about the prize and its winners over 36 years of its success story.

The fourth webpage of the new website is allocated to the King Faisal Center for Research and Islamic Studies.

The other pages focus on the King Faisal School, which is a pioneer in achieving great leaps in education while maintaining the highest levels of success, Alfaisal University, a student-centered and research-based institution, providing a general overview, its academic partners, accreditation and its top programs.

A special page is also dedicated to Effat University, which started its educational path 15 years ago as the first Saudi women-only and private university offering degrees which were previously unavailable for women in the Kingdom.
