Abu Dhabi, 4 Aug. 2009 (WAM) - H.H. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister & Minister of Presidential Affairs today presided over a board meeting of the Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Charitable Foundation.
Present were H.E. Ahmed Juma Al Zaabi, Deputy Minister of Presidential Affairs and Deputy Chairman of the Foundation's board. Sheikh Mansour and other board members approved designs of the Foundation's new logo. They also reviewed designs for the permanent headquarters of the Foundation. The board members also reviewed progress on the initiative to be implemented during the holy month of Ramadan, including Al Mir Al Ramadani and the Ramadan breakfast scheme. Also reviewed was a proposed project for vocational education and training. The meeting also discussed a number of charitable projects currently implemented by the Foundation both inside and outside the UAE, as well as agreements recently signed with UN organisations, including UNICEF, UNHCR, Jane Alliance, Oxfam International and Save the World.
