AMMAN -- His Majesty King Abdullah on Tuesday received Bahrain's Minister of Interior Sheikh Rashed Bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, who conveyed greetings from Bahrain's King Hamad Ben Isa Al Khalifa to the King.
During a meeting, attended by HRH Crown Prince Hussein, King Abdullah asserted the brotherly and distinguished relations between the two kingdoms and their joint commitment to boosting them in various areas in a manner that serves the interests of the two countries, a Royal Court statement said.
In this context, the King expressed the importance of increasing cooperation and coordination between Jordanian and Bahraini institutions and the need to increase exchange of expertise, especially in the areas of administrative and police work.
The Bahraini official expressed pride of the strong relations between the two countries, highlighting the joint efforts at the leadership level to develop and strengthen these relations in all spheres.
Royal Court Chief Fayez Tarawneh, King's Office Director Imad Fakhoury and Interior Minister Hussein Majali, Bahrain's Ambassador in Amman Nasser Kaabi and the accompanying delegation attended the meeting.
Also on Tuesday, Majali met separately with his Bahraini counterpart and discussed ways to boost cooperation.
The Bahraini official noted that the strong Jordanian-Bahraini ties are based on a great deal of understanding that the two countries share vis-à-vis various challenges and issues of joint interest.
The purpose of his visit is to maintain Jordanian-Bahraini coordination and consultation in various fields and increase the level of cooperation on security issues and crime combating, he added.
