Bandar Abbas, Hormozgan prov - Japan's Ambassador in Tehran Kinichi Komano hailed Iran's achievements in the past three decades. In a meeting with the Governor General of this Persian Gulf province, he noted that he had visited Iran in three different times of pre-revolution years, wartime and recent years and has found the pace of progress in the country so amazing.

He said the interesting thing about Iran in the past three decades is the fact that the structure of the society has also changed simultaneous with cities and urban life.

The ambassador also said his visits to different parts of the country has also revealed that people in Iran are fully aware of the degree and depth of the changes and developments.

Pointing out that Hormozgan province is situated on a significant coastline, he said the important industrial districts in Japan, too, have been built in areas close to the seas.

Outlining many common points the two countries shared, he also believed the Japanese private sector could well use investment potential in Iran.

Briefing the ambassador on the investment opportunities and economic situation of his province, local official Ebrahim Azizi voiced Iran's readiness to expand cooperation with Japan.
