Abu Dhabi: ITQAN and Etisalat have been awarded a contract to provide the Ministry of Finance and Industry (Mofi) with systems software.
The enterprise agreement provides Mofi and affiliates with a standard desktop configuration to include the Windows Operating System, Microsoft Office, and its Core Client Access programs. In addition to the standard desktop configuration, the agreement also provides Mofi and Affiliates users with access to the full suite of Microsoft Office Automation products.
In addition, the agreement will provide a common e-mail solution that will support communication across the ministry's different activities.
Mofi and affiliates will also attain operational efficiencies in the areas of acquisition management and support, software licensing and upgrades, asset management and training, as well as facilitating the ability of the employees to more effectively collaborate and function as a single enterprise.
"Mofi applauds the innovation behind the creation of this agreement as a solution to meet the technology needs of the federal government," said Mohammad Qambar, IT Manager at Mofi.
