The Secretary-General of the Iraqi Islamic Party, Ayad al-Samarrai said on Wednesday, that talking about the Sunni component today does not represent
a consolidation of the division, but it is the adoption of the situation that we live today.
Samarrai said in an article published today entitled (Towards Iraqi Sunni integrated project ) received by "Shafaq News", that "The Sunni community is divided on itself, and this basic fact is undeniable," noting that "the Sunni arena is disputed and there are several views between supporting the political process or rejecting it as a whole, and between the region and calling to thwart it. "
He expressed his belief that "Sunnis cannot succeed and they suffer from this division? Because they will be busy in conflict with each other in practice and have shown that they are struggling with others from other components and they will not have one strategy and would not know with who to stand and those who ask for support as outside powers will be confused how to deal with these forces. "
He added that "We call on today for Sunni integrated draft, that have features and they are: the political track, international and regional support , condemn terrorism, the formation of the region is a constitutional right, the consolidation of democracy in a Sunni region in Iraq, and support the demands brought by the protesting people , political forces and the community."
He pointed out that "the international community shows great interest today in Iraq and how to achieve stability after the neglect continued for years and should not lose the opportunity and invest it to achieve our ambition."
