Tehran - President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev, who is due in Tehran on Monday, will sign 9 cooperation documents in the sectors of economy, agriculture and banking affairs besides 40 memoranda of understanding.

Nazarbayev in his 2-day visit to Tehran at the invitation of President Hassan Rouhani and with an aim of consolidating mutual economic ties, is to witness signing of 9 cooperation documents between ministries of the two states, 37 MoUs by private sectors and 2 MoUs by Central Banks and National Banks of the two countries.

Cooperation documents between public bodies of Iran and Kazakhstan deal with agriculture, trade, transport, technology, industry, banking, energy, investment, extradition of prisoners and shipping.

Some MoUs, to be signed in the presence of the presidents of both coutnries are related to agriculture, extra-territorial farming, industry, mining, investment and energy.

Also a supervisory document between central banks of the two countries as well as a MoU between Bank Melli Iran and National Bank of Kazakhstan will be signed.

Meanwhile, a MoU will be inked between Iran National Development Fund and Kazakhstan Investment Development Fund.

Some of MoUs and agreements ready to be signed are results of the 14th Joint Economic Commission meeting.

It is expected that in the wake of President Nazarbayev's visit to Tehran, the 15th Joint Economic Commission meeting would take big steps toward implementation of the MoUs.

Minister of Agriculture Jihad Mahmoud Hojjati will chair the Joint Economic Commission meeting and so far the two sides have implemented several investment projects in the fields of green house, slaughterhouse, extra-territorial farming and gardening development.
