Tehran - Minister of Petroleum Bijan Zangeneh and his Indian counterpart Dharmendra Pradhan signed on Saturday an agreement on construction of oil industries and refineries.
According to the agreement, India will cooperate with Iran to develop Farzad B gas field, build refineries, export of oil and oil derivatives as well as petrochemical industries.
Zangeneh told reporters after signing the deal with the Indian oil minister that the current volume of Indian oil purchase from Iran is about 350,000 bpd and it is expected to increase.
The two sides also discussed expansion of mutual cooperation in the form of investment opportunity in Farzad B oil field, Zangeneh said.
Indian oil minister arrived in Tehran on Saturday to confer with the Iranian officials on ways to cooperate on oil industries.
Indian minister is to visit Chabahar on Sunday to inspect the venue allocated for construction of petrochemical plant to produce fertilizers.
