ARAK, Markazi: Engineers of the Azarab Industries Co. have acquired the technology to produce martensite steel sheets.

A press release faxed to Iran Daily by the company quoted the head of the company's industrial laboratory as saying that the country used to meet its requirements in manufacturing gasoline distillation and production reservoirs through imports, adding, however, that the Arak-based company managed to acquire the technology to produce two-layer stainless steel sheets coated with martensite.

Majid Borqani Farahani said the steel sheets are resistant to corrosion, attrition and stickiness, adding that two distillation towers were built by applying this technology, whose quality and safety were approved by the National Iranian Oil Engineering and Construction Company and Snamprogetti, the Italian company which designed the towers.
