Doha - Over 10,000 people are expected to attend Doha's largest-ever wedding exhibition being held here next month.

Visitors will be exposed to the latest trends in the $500m Qatari wedding industry, which is growing at an estimated rate of 25 percent annually.

More than 100 exhibitors from 15 countries are coming to the first International Wedding Exhibition and Fashion Show (IWED), showcasing the very best of East and West bridal fashion and beauty at Doha Exhibition Centre from May 4 to 7.

The highlight of the four-day exhibition, being held under the patronage of the Qatari Business Women Forum, will be the eagerly-awaited daily IWED Fashion Show, where international wedding designers Hanin Huchaime and Lamia Abi Nader will be among those revealing their new summer 2008 collections. The show will take place at 3pm on each day.

Supported by a team of international make-up artists, glamorous fashion models, sound and light technology from catwalk sponsor dotvision.com, the IWED Fashion Show will be an experience never before seen in Doha, captured on camera by video and photography sponsor Prolines and TV Sponsor Massaya TV, claim the organisers.

"The fashion shows are delivered to the highest standard to inspire brides, grooms and the rest of the family to look radiant on their most memorable day. Moreover, during this year's exhibition we will be announcing very exciting developments for the show next year," says Fernando De Guama, Director of Exhibitions at Qatar Expo, which is the creator of IWED.

IWED visitors will discover the latest bridal and night gowns, a vast choice of hair and beauty products and stylists including Be Bloom Beauty Center, wedding planners, fashion designers, wedding gift suppliers, flower designers, footwear designers, wedding caterers, and luxury wedding venues such as Regency Halls. There will be an exclusive 'Ladies Day' on May 5. The exhibition will be open to visitors from 3pm to 10pm on all four days.
