FollowInterContinental Hotels (IHG) is to be the latest big name to set up home in Dubai Marina, after it announced a swish new pad within walking distance of JBR beach will open by the end of 2013.
It will consist of 132 hotel rooms and 196 residential one, two, three and four bedroom apartments - and a new nightclub.
IHG has inked an agreement with Dubai-based property developer Select Group for the build in the Bay Central part of Dubai Marina.
Pascal Gauvin, IHG's COO for India, Middle East and Africa said: "The Dubai Marina is a fantastic hub of activity for guests looking to experience everything Dubai has to offer," - adding the Marina hotel would "perfectly complement" its Dubai sister hotel in Festival City.
IHG is the world's largest hotel group by number of rooms.
