Under the patronage of Minister of Tourism & Antiquities Maha Khatib, and Director of Vocational Training Center (VTC), Khalil Kurdi, InterContinental Jordan held a graduation ceremony for the students who have trained for the past two years at InterContinental Jordan, Crowne Plaza Amman and Holiday Inn Amman.

As a commitment to the local community and in the line with the company vision of developing teams for our new openings in Jordan, we signed an agreement with the "Vocational Training Corporation, Ain al-Basha and al-Salt" in order to train (50) students over (2) years.

The hotels which participated from InterContinental Hotels Group were: InterContinental Jordan, Crowne Plaza Amman and Holiday Inn Amman". The hotels selected students and formulated a committee, which worked to put together a general hospitality and operations department curricula.

All trainees started studying the formulated materials at the "Vocational Centers" on December 18, 2005, which included the following: F&B Preparation, F&B Service, Housekeeping, Hotel Accounting, Front Office, Sales & Marketing, Public Relations, Recreation, Engineering, Human Resources, IHG Background, Guest Courtesy. All trainees has trained at the above hotels for 18 months rotating between three departments; Housekeeping, F&B Service & F&B Preparation.
