Riyadh, Feb 7, Under the patronage of Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz, the Governor of Riyadh region, Minister of Higher Education Khalid bin Mohammad Al-Anqari opened here today the first national seminar on " Information Technology," entitled " Bridging the Digital Gap: Challenges & Solutions".
During the seminar, there was a consensus among participants about the need to bridge such gap pointing out to some initiatives launched in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia recently like "the Computer Initiative" and the "Smart Cities Initiative" aiming at spreading technology all over the Kingdom's provinces.
The opening seminar was attended by the President of King Saud University Dr.Abdullah bin Mohammad Al-Faisal and Governor of the Commission of Telecommunications and Information Technology Dr. Mohammad bin Ibraheem Al-Swayel.
