The Indian government has increased the number of annual Indian Technical and Economic Cooperation (ITEC) programme scholarships for Omanis to train in India from 50 to 80 from the next financial year starting from April 1, 2012, the Indian ambassador to Oman said.

Speaking to reporters on the sidelines of the ITEC day ceremony at the Indian embassy on Monday, H E J S Mukul said both countries are exploring ways to enhance cooperation in training and education.
