Berlin - A seminar on the characteristic dimensions of Imam Khomeini (RA) was held in Berlin Tuesday evening on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the demise of Iranˈs late revolutionary leader, according to IRNA.

Speakers at the symposium, among them Iranˈs Ambassador to Germany Alireza Sheikh Attar and Germanyˈs living journalist legend Peter Scholl-Latour, hailed the great personality of Imam Khomeini.

Sheikh Attar said Imam Khomeiniˈs main focus was on justice.

He pointed out that according to Imam Khomeini dictatorial regimes exemplified injustice and thatˈs why he fought against the despotic Pahlavi regime and stood up to countries wanting to impose their will on other nations.

Meanwhile, Scholl-Latour said he was ˈdeeply impressedˈ by Imam Khomeiniˈs personality.

The 90-year-old Scholl-Latour who accompanied Imam Khomeini on his triumphant return to Iran aboard the Air France passenger plane in February 1979, stressed also Imam Khomeiniˈs strong character.

Addressing the characteristic aspects of Imam Khomeini, the head of the cultural section of the Iranian embassy Mahdi Imanpour said many westerners were not aware of Imam Khomeiniˈs spiritual and mystic traits, mainly due to ignorance but also prejudice.
