RIYADH - Al-Kaki Group has opened Tuesday its first Il Gabbiano Italian Restaurant in Riyadh with an investment worth SR6 million.

During the opening ceremony, various dishes were presented to visitors who had a chance to see how Italian food was prepared by skilled chefs. Riyadh was chosen for its strategic geographic location.

Majed Kaki, executive director, said the group is planning to open new branches all over the Kingdom and that a third branch will be opened soon in Al-Khobar.

The group's first restaurant in Kingdom is at Al-Nawras Square, Jeddah. Il Gabbiano means seagull in Italian. The owner of the restaurant chain, Giano Santini, has several fancy restaurants in Europe. In less than two decades, the chain has become globally-known and achieved several awards for presenting fresh food.
