MUSCAT -- The Second Human Resources Development Expo and Conference to be held from September 23-25 at the Oman International Exhibition Centre will promote training programmes and encourage research and human resource development in the country. Fahad al Jabri, Director-General, Human Resource, Ministry of Civil Service, said: "The HRD Expo and Conference will promote the level of training programmes in the Sultanate, in addition to encouraging research and human resource development, in general.

The exhibition will be an ideal opportunity to review training programmes and HR policies, plans and comprehensive public and private sector employees' skills. " Organised in co-operation with the Ministry of Civil Service, this exhibition is a significant event and the only HRD expo in the Sultanate. After the successful inaugural event in 2011, the Ministry of Civil Service, in association with the other government units, local and international exhibitors, is keen in organising this event again to enhance and promote communication and co-operation among all units of the state and private sector establishments to seek ways of improving the quality of HR development, thus keeping pace with the global expansion in this field.

Salim Omar al Hashmi, CEO, Al Nimr Expo, said: "The expo focuses on the knowledge and development of human resources by upgrading the skills of the work force in the public and private sector. The event is an opportunity to bring leaders and trend setting companies to showcase current HR practices and inspiring case studies to promote human asset management." Human Resources Development is one of the basic dimensions of the 'Vision 2020'.
