DUbai: Ask any Bollywood star about their rumoured romance and they are likely to roll out that much-abused “we are just good friends” cliche. But Harman Baweja is not one among them. The object of his affection is Bengali bombshell Bipasha Basu. He is proud of the latest development and he makes no bones about it.
“It’s great to have someone like her in my life. She’s an amazing girl, but she’s a little bit crazy,” said Baweja, breaking into a laugh. It’s clear that Baweja has no qualms about wearing his heart on his sleeve.
“We connect a lot on how we look at life. Our take on family, friends and those aspects match. We connect on those lines,” said Baweja, who earlier dated actress Priyanka Chopra.
Baweja, who is gearing up for the release of Dishkiayoon, is clear that he won’t allow the girl in his life to be sullied. In such matter, he’s a traditionalist.
“I look at it this way. People are going to speak and speculate about it. Sometimes speculations can get a little frivolous. In my eyes, if you are with someone and you respect that person then you want to ensure that when she’s spoken about, she’s not referred to in a frivolous manner,” said Baweja. So should we expect wedding bells?
“About that ...,” said Baweja humming a tune. Just a few minutes earlier, Baweja had told tabloid! that when he’s stressed out about something he tends to talk to himself in hushed tones.
