Further Reduction In Product Prices In Jordan

Jordan on 7 November announced a sixth reduction in petroleum product prices since 10 July, as crude oil prices continued to slide on the international oil market from the peak of $147/B reached in July. The prices of 90 and 95 octane unleaded gasoline fell 8.4% and 8.2% respectively to JD0.435 ($0.61)/liter and JD0.505 ($0.71)/liter, while diesel and kerosene prices dropped by 6.1% to JD0.460 ($0.65)/liter. The price of diesel for bunkers fell 4.5% to JD0.746 ($1.05)/liter, while the LPG price for household use (cooking gas) is maintained at its subsidized level of JD6.5 ($9.2)/cylinder. Product prices in Jordan are set periodically by a joint committee comprising members from the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources and Ministry of Finance, as well as the Jordan Petroleum Refinery Company (JPRC).
