New outlet to cater to all strata of society
KUWAIT CITY: Ali Adul-Wahab and Sons Company held a ribbon cutting ceremony Monday to mark the opening of their third and newest home furnishing showroom in Kuwait called "My Home" behind the Pepsi Street in Shuwaikh Industrial Area. The ribbon cutting was done by the Deputy Minister for Trade and Industries, Dawud Al-Sabri, flanked to the left and right by United States Ambassador Matthew H. Tueller, Swiss Ambassador Etienne Thevez, Ali Abdul-Wahab and Sons Company Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Faisal Mutawa as well as other invited dignitaries.
"My Home" is a special showroom specially made to show the public the quality of the furniture which is mostly Century Furniture, one of the best and largest as well as most well-known American Furniture Company in the United States. The showroom is split into two; it shows the quality of the American furniture plus the appliances and the kitchens. It has everything a house needs, like accessories for the house, flowers, furniture, kitchens and so forth.
"This is special home furnishing Ali Abdul Wahab is presenting to the public in Kuwait with the target clients being the ordinary person to the lower and upper middle-class people in the Kuwaiti society, said Al-Mutawa, adding that it is a place designed to offer the best that can meet the needs of all strata of the society.
The shop showcases American furniture and household accessories on the ground floor, the most state-of-the-art kitchen and other related household ware from Germany, the United States and other countries on the first floor as well as assorted furniture and other top-of-the-line household appliances mainly from China on display in the basement.

Al-Mutawa, who took the distinguished guests to the event on a guided tour of the outlet after the ribbon cutting, explained that his company now has 65-70 outlets all over Kuwait which include showrooms for appliances, kitchens, sportswear like Nike, furniture as well as numerous pharmacies. The target clients, according to him, include the ordinary person to the lower and upper middleclass people in the Kuwaiti society.
Tarek Al-Masry, Showroom general manager for "My Home", said that much as there are top-branded items for the top stratum of society, there are also appliances and furniture in the showroom that are affordable almost to everyone.
He added that the mixture of all brands together under one showroom makes the outlet a one-stop-shop for everything from furniture to household appliance and kitchens.
