Ferrari and Aldar Properties have agreed to develop a new Ferrari concept in Abu Dhabi. The development will provide hotels, retail , residential and hospitaity elements.

The initial concept will include racetracks, numerous rides and attractions, and an opportunity to learn the history of Ferrari. The new project will be constructed on a fast track programme, targeting an opening in 2008.

It will include an advanced circuit where tests and driving course will be organised as well as races. Aldar chairman Ahmed Ali Al Sayegh said: "Mubadala Development company's purchase of Ferrari shares earlier this year allowed Aldar an opportunity."

Ferrari general manager Jean Todt said: " The site will be an attraction for fans and car lovers worldwide."  "We have engaged the world's leading designers and creative talents to ensure that this great project will be a world class development." said the CEO of Aldar.

He added, "When completed it will significantly add to Abu Dhabi's tourism offering, as well as providing a strong and profitable income base for Aldars's diversified portfolio." The park will be one of the first of its kind for Ferrari.
