Fawry, e-payment solutions company, signed an agreement with Banque Misr on Sunday, to provide a digital loyalty programme for the bank’s customers. It comes in line with the state’s strategy to achieve financial inclusion, targeting youth.

Managing Director of Fawry Mohamed Okasha said the new agreement was the result of fruitful cooperation between the two sides. It would be in their mutual interest which is expanding the banking sector’s digital services. The loyalty programme offers Banque Misr customers with mobile credit balance from the four telecom operators Vodafone, Orange, Etisalat, and We. It also offers vouchers from a list of merchants, and discounts when using Banque Misr credit/debit cards for purchases.

“Egyptian banks are adopting serious fruitful ongoing steps in the comprehensive transformation of digitisation, ‘internet banking’, ‘electronic payment’, ‘mobile wallets’, and others of tools for the integration of technology in financial services. It leads Fawry to enhance its cooperation with the banking sector, and develop e-solutions for its customers through various electronic platforms and programmes, especially the loyalty program, which is a reward for customers allowing them to purchase many products at discounts satisfying them,” Okasha said.
