DOHA: The Ezdan Real Estate Company will be implementing the Oracle System to its diverse businesses in real estate, hospitality and the contracting sector, as well as training its staff to qualify for ISO certification in six months' time.

Hesham Al Sahtary, Ezdan managing director and CEO, and Nasser Sulaiman Hayder, chairman of Unicorp Infotech, yesterday signed a contract at the Ezdan premises. The Ezdan Real Estate Company has commissioned Unicorp Infotech to install the Oracle System in the diverse sectors of the company.

Ezdan also signed a contract with the BFK company to assist Ezdan to qualify for an ISO certification (International Standards certification). The contract was signed by Al Sahtary and BFK administrative executive manager Zaeed Al Alami.

"Ezdan always endeavours to obtain an international operating system... The two agreements will enable the company to achieve such goal which will expose the company to compete in the international market," said Al Sahtary during the signing ceremony at Ezdan Tower three.

"The agreement with Unicorp includes the application and installation of the Oracle System in the Ezdan Hotel, Ezdan Real Estate Company and Ezdan Contracting sector, while the other agreement will enable Ezdan to obtain the ISO certification in quality management." Oracle Applications comprise the applications software or business software of Oracle Corporation, which includes Oracle Financials, Oracle CRM, Oracle RDBMS, Oracle HRMS, among others.

Al Sahtary said Ezdan has prepared its staff for the ISO certification by training them beforehand. He said he expects the company will get the certification in six months' time. According to him, Unicorp and BFK were picked from 14 companies who expressed their interest in working with Ezdan.

"We have been in Qatar in the last six years and this project with Ezdan is one of the most prestigious," said Hayder. He said they are looking into completing the project in six months' time and will start in April.

"The application of ISO 9000 is a strategic project especially for a company like Ezdan," said Al Alami.
