Ezdan Holding, one of the largest  real estate developers in Qatar,  unveiled three major projects - the Shamal Project, Rayan Towers and Al Wakra Mall -  at  the Cityscape Qatar exhibition yesterday. All the projects are set for opening next year.

Speaking to Gulf Times Ali al-Obaidali, the chief executive officer of Ezdan Holding, said that one of the major projects of Ezdan Holding was Shamal project. "It includes a boutique hotel with 220 rooms, 180 luxury villas  and 170 luxury apartments. Situated near Ezdan Mall Gharaffa , the boutique hotel has different sections offering a variety of restaurants. Ezdan has invested around QR2bn in the Shamal project," he added.

The company will open two more malls in the next two years. He commented: "Ezdan Mall Al Wakra  will be opened by  February  2014 and Ezdan Mall Wukair will be operational by 2015. The international retailer Carrefour has signed an agreement for a strategic partnership with Ezdan." Carrefour also will set up its retail showrooms in Ezdan Malls at Al Wakra as well as Wukair.

Regarding the Al Wakra apartments, Obaidali said that  there were altogether 30 villages in the project. He said "Five of them will be opened this year and another six will be opened next year. Today we have around 11,500 units of accommodation in Al Wakra and Wukair. Another 5,000 units are under construction."
